          Come visit your new home away from home. Bring your supplies with you and leave them in your locker so your backpack is not too heavy to carry on Tuesday.

Math is Fun

              I know you have been reading but have you been practicing your math facts? Flash cards and online games and apps are always fun. Have you tried ten frames and number bonds? These are the preferred tools of our new program Math in Focus.


                                                


                                   

What Did You Read This Summer?

            I love to read! I read all four of the recommended grade two texts. I also read ten choice books.  I can't wait to discuss the common readings with you.  Which book did you read ?

          I can't believe it is August 1st already!  The Happy Little Hurleys will all be together in room three soon.  I enjoyed meeting many of you already . . . at the summer enrichment program and the mid-summer reading party. I even found Little Hurleys in the aisles at Target and BJs. If you see me out and about town please come say hello and collect a hug.
