Thanks to the override, not only do we have more teachers and reduced class sizes, we also have time to learn and collaborate. As a parent who had to make alternative arrangements for my children on professional development days while they were students here in the Shrewsbury schools I truly appreciate your effort to rearrange family schedules which afforded me the opportunity for ongoing education and collaboration with my colleagues. I met with all the second grade teachers across the district to review our success and challenges with our new math curriculum, and planned for upcoming units.
